Diabetes is a condition when there is high blood sugar level than normal. This is common among older people but nowadays, age doesn't matter as it also affects even the younger ones. This is mainly because of the food choice and the passion for eating sweet and sugary foods which are indeed tempting.
Insulin is responsible for transmitting sugar into the cell to be used as energy and stored the excess one for later usage. When the body does not make enough insulin or is unable to use it means one is suffering from diabetes.
Some of the common symptoms include:
Increased hunger. This is not just a normal hunger as you often crave food more than the usual routine.
Increased thirst. You always feel thirsty even though you already drink a lot of water.
Weight loss. There is a sudden drop in your weight even you are eating normally.
Frequent urination. You always tend to go to the washroom every hour or less.
Blurry vision. This is one of the body parts usually affected by diabetes
Extreme fatigue. You feel exhausted even though you have enough rest or sleep.
Sores that don’t heal. The wound or sore usually last longer than usual to heal or does not heal at all and becomes worse.
Being aware of the symptoms cited above, one should seek medical advice right away to not worsen the condition and be totally dependent on insulin injection later on. This is the best thing to do if you already have it but always remember that prevention is better than cure. The earlier you make sure not to eat too many sugary foods which your body can't burn, the more you can avoid such condition. It is your action which defies everything that happens next so, don't make yourself regret it.
