Migraine- treatment--at home-headache

Migraine...

Migraine is a severe pain one experiences that usually happens only on 1 side of the head: either left, right or just the half top of the head. This condition is very disturbing as you totally lose your concentration in everything you do. The pain it brings is far from the normal headache that you can just easily treat with some medicine. It is so extreme that it causes nausea, and even vomiting. Some say that it is mostly genetically inherited but studies showed that it is triggered also by some factors.

Some of the factors that trigger migraine are...

Hormonal changes. This usually takes place at the beginning of the menstrual period or within the time of menstruation

Too Emotional. It includes stress, depression, anxiety, and excitement. Getting depressed on something makes someone overthink and stressed the brain resulting in a migraine attack.

Dietary factors. Alcohol, caffeine, cheese, chocolate, citrus fruits, and foods containing the additive tyramine are some of the culprits.

Medications. Unknowingly there are some medicines that can be of help but also causes another condition to occur such as sleeping pills, hormone replacement therapy, and some birth control pills.

Environmental factors. It includes bright lights, flickering screens, hot weather, loud noises, and strong smells like smoke.

Tiredness. Being tired makes the entire body lose its posture and gets exhausted

Lack of sleep and oversleeping. Anything that is done in excess or less than normal is not good.

Low blood sugar. Maintaining a normal sugar level is necessary as another condition arises when it gets low.

Jet lag. Traveling on a plane is not that easy with the limited space for you to move and breathe which causes body exhaustion.

Irregular mealtimes. Not eating on time is not good as it disrupts the normal routine which your body was used to.

Dehydration. Water is very important for the body to function normally.

There is no cure for migraine according to studies but some medications are prescribed by doctors to alleviate the pain depending on the intensity. The minor condition requires only one to relax and sleep and it will be just gone. The extreme one which lasted for quite some time, thus, requires the medication. Whether you already have this condition or not, just be mindful of the things that trigger it and try to avoid it as much as possible.
